About Me
Hello! My name is Veronica De Alba, as a non-traditional student, I began my educational path later in life as I was raising a family when most were entering their first year of college. I returned to school for my teaching degree when my family home life was more stable and I could dedicate the time and effort to my studies. As an 80s baby, I have seen the vast changes in technology from the inception of the cell phone, home computers, and the internet. I have been teaching for 10 years in predominately Latinx schools. I am a product of CPS where I also was enrolled in a CPS Bilingual Program as a student. I am fluent in Spanish and in today's increase in Latino student enrollment for Chicago Public Schools, I am able to communicate with my students in their native language and foster a teaching environment where all are welcomed.
